Recap of last couple days

I watched a bit of NFL football over the weekend, although I’m not as into sports as I once was. The second half of the Colts-Steelers game was great though. I still can’t believe Roethlisberger managed to trip up the Indy defender after the fumble recovery…. I was sure he was going to score after I saw him scoop up the ball and run a few yards.

In terms of the big tournaments over the weekend, congrats to JohnnyBax and sheets for final tables in the Party $200+$15 events - Bax got 4th in the 200K and sheets finished 3rd in the 500K. It would have been nice if a friend of mine could have made the FT of the UB SCN or the Dise Masters, but it didn’t happen. Schaefer was doing well in both, but didn’t manage to go really deep.

In other news, we’re (by we I mean thepokerdb) working with some new software to track UB, Party and Paradise. It seems to be working pretty well, but there are still a few bugs to work out. We’ve been collecting results for a little while now, but the remaining bugs might prevent us from ever including these in the database when we do decide to release data from other sites. That’s a bit frustrating for me because I want to have a few months of data (at least) before we start showing anything.

I don’t have much planned for the next few weeks. One of the nice things about not having a job is that I can just focus on poker, going to the gym, hanging out with friends, etc. I might spend some time down in AC for the new Borgata WPT event as a lot of my friends will probably be there. I’m also considering going with Ozzy and Roman to the EPT Deauville and EPT Monte Carlo events. I’ll make the decision when the time comes to book tickets. If I do decide to go to any events, I’ll definitely be bringing my camera and I’ll be posting a lot of pictures. Considering all the positive feedback that I received on my picture blog from the PCA (even though I clearly am not a good photographer), I think it’s worthwhile.
