I can’t get live updates, so I might as well post about the online pokering going on in the lobby.

colson10 is deep in the 25K 11r on Stars. They’re on break currently, but it’s three handed. You can also see schaefer playing in the Paradise Masters Event 1 in the background.

Here’s BeL0WaB0Ve still going strong.

A crowd has gathered behind neverwin, who’s playing 300/600 limit on UB. JERRRY is sitting the right side of the frame.

shaniac just busted in the Paradise Masters Event 1, but here he is just before he busted. This is during a hand where he lost a lot of chips late with 77. MazeorBowie is leaning over and consulting with shaniac.

Also, stevesbets and iMsoLucky0 are confirmed participants in the Battleship Poker $1K HU tournament. It starts tomorrow morning.

I don’t have any updates on the main event. It’s just too hard to get information off the floor.

I wish I could be posting frequent chip counts and pictures, but it’s very hard to communicate with the players. The security won’t really let us get close enough without a press pass. I’ll try to work something out, but I’m not hopeful.

The players are on dinner break now.

Unfortunately I can’t get good chip counts because they are being vigorous about keeping non-press pass people out of the area in between the tables. I’m limited to quick dashes in before being kicked out of the tourney area. Eventually, a guard started tilting at me asking “do you understand English sir?” so I decided to just come back out to the lobby.

Even as the main event continues on down the hallway, a mass of players have gathered in the lobby to play today’s online tournaments. Some of the more popular selections include the Dise Masters event 1, Party 150, Party 30 rebuy, Stars 109r, etc.

With all of this talent within a few tables of each other, a few people will probably go deep in some big tournies. I’ll be back to report some main event info in a few minutes.

Today’s play got underway at around 1 PM EST.

Ozzy is still around 75K.
Roman (Empire2000) doubled up early with AA, so he’s in the 70s as well.
Premier also doubled up early with AA.
Takeover busted (yes, he started with 50K and busted).
twin-caracas busted.
asdf2000 busted.
jennicide was still in last I saw.
Johnster busted (he got Johnstered).

Play ended for the night a few hours ago. Some reports:

Ozzy is at 74K, so he’s among the chip leaders for the tourney. He won a huge pot with the following action:

He raised to 1200 in MP with KQ, the SB made it 3000. Both stacks were about 35K, so Ozzy called. The flop came AT9. The SB check, Ozzy bet 5800, the SB called. The turn came J, giving Ozzy the nuts. The SB check-called about 10 or 11K. Then the SB check-called Ozzy’s all-in on the river.

Takeover grinded a small stack for a little while before picking up some steam. He’s at about 50K.

jennicide got up to 20K at the dinner break, but is back below 10K as of the end of play tonight.
