Steve is out of the main event, along with Sdouble, anakinso and a few others.

Bax, sheets, yahtzem, BodogAri, serb2127 and a few others have nice stacks.

Unfortunately, I didn’t really get any pictures. The environment in the Foxwoods poker room is very picture unfriendly (unlike the PCA) — even more so than Turning Stone.

I promise I’ll do a better job with pictures and updates at the next Turning Stone event in May — there are supposed to be a ton of people there. I also have a few things planned in between then and now, but nothing huge.

Really not much going on. I would be taking pictures, but I haven’t really seen many people here yet.

To this point, the trip has consisted of a lot of sleeping, eating and poker — although a lot more poker for Steve than for me.

The main event starts tomorrow, but I may be heading up to Boston to hang out with a long-time friend. If not, I’ll be around the poker room (playing) and/or tournament area (watching). If you see me, say hi.

We ended up leaving Steve’s apartment around 11ish, and we got to Foxwoods around 3 or 4 PM, I’m not really sure. We did stop for food and we ran into some minor traffic in a few places, but it was a pretty smooth drive up overall.

We did see one interesting thing on the way up… A HUGE fire in Stamford, CT. Here’s a link to a news story about it. The building is only a short distance from I-95 and we went by it during the “prime” of the fire, so it was quite a sight. Luckily no one was hurt.

Neither one of us had gotten much sleep last night, so we pretty much passed out until 24 at 9 PM EST. That ended 15 minutes ago and I think we’re gonna head down and gamble for a bit now.

I’ll be getting up bright and early tomorrow (today? it’s 3:15 AM) morning to drive up to Foxwoods for the WPT.

Actually, I’m supposed to pick up stevesbets around 11 AM, so I don’t have to get up that early. But I expect to arrive between 3-4 PM depending on traffic. I’m not sure how long we’re staying, but it will probably be most of this week. I’ll be sure to bring my digital camera and do some blogging.
