In Atlanta

I took a 6:15 AM flight to Atlanta this morning, then made the short drive to Emory University for a 10 AM meeting with some law school admissions people. I wanted to look around the law school facilities just to get an idea of where I’m going to be spending the next three years in the case that I end up at Emory Law. I really liked it. The classrooms, library and common areas were very nice overall. The campus itself is also nice.

After that, I went to a popular housing complex called Post Briarcliff. I think there’s a good chance that I’ll end up living there because it’s a great combination of price and quality.

Once I finished at Briarcliff, Josh (aka foshio) had woken up and I drove over to his apartment. It’s one of the messiest apartments I’ve ever seen. But you don’t need a clean apartment to win tournaments, so whatever works for him. I also took a look around the apartments at Josh’s complex. They’re very nice as well, but a little more expensive than Post Briarcliff. I’ll have to talk it over with my potential roommate and make a decision.

Now I’m just sitting here in Josh’s apartment watching the Tunisia v Spain World Cup match on his HDTV. I think this is the first World Cup that I’ve seen in HD (I don’t think it was out in 2002, or at least I hadn’t seen it) — and it’s amazing. If you’re watching a regular TV, you’re missing out big time. Josh is passed out on the couch and he doesn’t seem to want to wake up, but I think we’re going to go to dinner with B.Purdy and yellowsub86 in a few hours.

I have an 11 PM flight home, so it’s going to be a long day.
