This is pretty entertaining.
No embed code that I see, so you’ll have to click to see it. But it’s funny.

Wrapping up the Philly visit…
I’ve been home in the Philly area for about two weeks now and I’m getting ready to go back down to Atlanta. I’ve kept myself pretty busy since I came home. First, I went to my friend’s wedding (see recent posts). Then I spent a bunch of days work with my friend Eric on his new house in Philly. He basically tore it apart then put it back together. And by tore it apart, I mean completely. The whole house was torn down to the beams. It was completely reframed and it received new plumbing, electrical, etc. It’s basically a new house in an old shell. They’ve been working on it for about 8 months and things are finally getting wrapped up. Here’s a picture of me holding a door handle:

We spent a little while putting these things in all over the house. It’s hard to get them perfectly lined up so the door can’t move back and forth, so it actually took us a few hours just to put in like 7 or so of them. But we’ve been doing tons of other things too. For the most part I suck at this stuff, so I let the skilled labor handle most of the harder tasks. Tomorrow is carpet day for the 2nd floor, so that is exciting.
Also, since I’m back at my parent’s house in Philly kinda rarely these days, I’m taking the opportunity to clean up my old room. My family has been in this house for basically my whole life, so there was a lot of crap in here. I’m going to be making a run to the local landfill tomorrow with all of the crap. There weren’t many things in here of much of interest to the blog readers out there, but I did snap this picture of some of my Wachovia envelopes.
I know, that’s pretty boring too. But these things were all over my room. I found them under the bed, in random drawers, in all sorts of piles of crap, etc. All in all, there were over 30 Wachovia statements here. One was opened. I guess it’s time I logged onto online banking and tell them to stop sending me paper statements. Now I just need to get a shredder for all of these and the rest of the banking/credit card stuff that I found in here.
Even though I don’t really know him, congrats to RaiNKhAN for his WSOP Main Event Final Table. I’ll leave you with this pic that I snapped of him at the 2007 PCA Final Table when he was there sweating the eventual winner Ryan Daut:

On the way back across the country, my friend Eric Strauss and I talked a bunch about flickr, an online photo tool. I also decided to put basically all of my pictures on flickr. Right now I’m only part-way done, but I thought I’d throw up the link in case anyone wants to see what I have up there so far.
With regards to the poker pics, for a bunch of them I am putting up my unedited set of pictures. For instance, for the PCA WPT final table, I put up around 1000 pictures. Some are good, some are bad, some are extremely repetitive, etc. But that’s all of the pictures that I took that day. Right now I’m focusing on getting pictures up — later I’ll worry about cutting them down to reasonably sized galleries.
The link to my photosets is http://www.flickr.com/photos/natarem/sets/.
Expect to see it continue to grow over the next week or two. I’ll probably post again when I think I have most of my pictures up.
las vegas-philly pics
I promised these awhile ago, but I was busy for the wedding so I’m just getting around to putting them up. Thanks to my buddy Eric for bringing his camera. Here we go, in chronological order…

The Penske truck with the car on the back. It was really long and hard to drive in tight spots. This is when we were still in the Penske lot in Las Vegas, just getting ready to go.

Headed out of Nevada towards Kingman, AZ/US-40.

My buddy Eric doing a little drivin’ in the desert.

Probably the fastest/nicest car we saw … a Porsche Turbo.

Texan wind energy.

A huge cross in Texas.

Night-time driving.

Our bug collection builds…

Obv we needed a trucker hat in order to get across the country.

Me driving with the St Louis arch in the background.

Another huge cross. These things must be everywhere.

We drove by a few ATMs strapped on the back of a truck. Unfortunately they weren’t spewing money.

Me driving, I think on the last day.

Possibly the best license plate/car combo we saw.

Heading across the Ohio River into Wheeling, West Virginia. We were in WV for all of about 10 or 11 miles.

Me in the trucker hat doing my best “i’m a dumb trucker” pose. Not that I think all truckers are dumb. A lot of them are hard-working and intelligent individuals. But there are also a ton of asshole truckers out there who are dumb as hell — we ran across a bunch of them. So I don’t feel too bad.

Shot of the sunset in the rear-view towards the end of Day 4.

The trip computer for the whole thing. 61 mph isn’t great, but we couldn’t go too fast in the Penske. It has a 75 mph speed limiter on it that slowed us down a bunch of times.
Anywho, it was a fun trip. That being said, I don’t want to do it again.
Wedding
I went up to the Eagle Rock Resort in Hazleton, PA on Thursday afternoon because my good friend Ben Chittenden was getting married this weekend up there. Friday was a golfing day and the wedding itself was Saturday afternoon. The weekend generally consisted of partying with a lot of my good friends from childhood, so that was a lot of fun. A bunch of us have known each other since the age of 5 and we’re still very close.
I stole a few pictures from my friend Eric Strauss…
Here’s one of me out on the golf course. I don’t actually golf, so I was just riding around and causing chaos. This hole I played by throwing the ball from spot to spot, then I putted with my left flip-flop. It didn’t turn out great.

Then here I am in a chair in one of the hotel rooms before the wedding started.

And lastly, here is a Godfather-style picture of the groom, best man and groomsmen. I am 2nd from the left with my jacket in my left hand. Ben is all the way in the front and center of the pic.

Congrats again to Ben and Megan, thanks for the great weekend and have a great life together.
