Huge. Quickly. Bye.

I am actually surprised by the Tiger infidelity news. Maybe I’m naive but I actually thought he would take marriage seriously. I probably can’t even begin to comprehend how hard it would be for someone like Tiger to say no over and over to ridiculous hot girls but I guess I’d always put him one step above the typical athlete/celebrity. By contrast, I assume that like 80%+ of NBA/NFL/MLB players cheat on their wives at some point in their career.

For someone like Tiger, it’s just so dumb to do that. It’s never going to stay quiet forever. If he really wanted to sleep around, he should have stayed single and not had kids. No one would have faulted him then. Now he’s going to deal with questions for a very long time and it’s going to be a perma-blip on his record. Don’t get me wrong — in a year or two most people won’t remember this. People forgot about Kobe, Ray Lewis, etc. And those guys were actually accused of criminal acts. But when all is said and done on Tiger, this is the type of thing that will be on his “record” forever. Even though his 30+ majors (I’m assuming) will stand alone for a very very long time, it’ll still be a blip and, for a guy like him, I can’t see how it’s worth it.

One thing I saw around the poker world recently was a short trailer for the second “From Busto To Robusto”. It’s featuring good2cu (in case you haven’t seen the first one with CaptZEEbo, you should definitely check it out). The trailer itself is not all that good but I am sure that the trailer doesn’t reflect on the quality of the video. I’m sure the video will be great so you should definitely check it out when it comes out.

Speaking of good videos, this is a few weeks old but Prank Wars 8 was released in mid November. A few years back, I posted about prank wars a few times. The series is really one of the most epic things ever. They have successfully taken things to levels beyond any other prank series I’ve ever seen. The latest one is no exception. I won’t say anything else but you should watch all 8 in order from 1 to 8. Don’t just watch 8 if you haven’t see any before. They’re all on collegehumor.com so be sure to watch them ASAP. If you don’t love it then you have no sense of humor.

Lastly, good article on NYT about health and lowering insurance costs.

Like you, I was shocked by the Tiger Woods scandal. It was only a few weeks ago a bunch of us were discussing men who did this and Tiger Woods name came up as the last great unblemished athlete. Ha ha…..now he’s a joke. As far as Kobe….accused, not convicted. As far as Tiger goes, you can actually listen to the voicemail message and read the texts. He’s an embarrassment. I will never root for him again because I have lost all respect for him and there are plenty of people like myself who feel this way.

And while I’m typing all of this and getting myself so agitated, I just missed the add on in the $109 rebuy.

Like you said, if he wanted to do this, why get married. Why have children? He not only cheated on his wife; he cheated on his children as well. And lastly, he really has to be stupid to think he could get away with this kind of behavior. I’m surprised it took this long. What a jerk!!! That’s all I can say.

Nancy,

That’s way too harsh and uncalled for. Tiger is famous for being an amazing golf player. Why should we care what he does in his personal life? If he wasn’t famous for GOLF, we wouldn’t give two shits about his personal life. Honestly, I don’t give two shits about his personal life regardless of him being famous for golf. And either should you. I just enjoy flipping on the TV on Sunday’s and watching him create magic on the golf course. TIGERRRRRRRRR!!!!

When I make a comment, I’m expressing my feelings and I have a right to do so. It’s fine for you not to give a darn about his personal life but it’s not fine for you to tell me that I should feel the same way just because you do. If he was Joe Schmoe down the block from me and he was cheating on his wife and children with more than one mistress, I would think he was a lowlife as well….celebrity or not. I’m not saying he’s not a great golfer; he is. What I’m saying is that he’s a lowlife and, as such, I could never root for him again….and it’s my right to say so. You might think that’s harsh. What he did to his family is much more harsh than that.

Nancy,

These types of things can happen to anyone! What if you have children someday and they end up cheating on their spouse? Will you disown your child forever? Judging by your opinion on Tiger and Joe Schmoe, you would forever disown your own child and never support them again. I think there’s too many people in our society that put themselves and their family members on some sort of moral pedestal and therefore think they have the right to talk smack about anyone who screws up and never forgive them. I think you should forgive Tiger and support him at the next golf tournament more than ever. He could really use our support at a time like now.

If you knew my children, you would know that this would never happen….never!!!
Now there are ten women who have come forward….all having had affairs with Tiger (many in his own home)….the home he shares with his wife and children. It’s not up to me to forgive him….that’s up to all those who are close to him. I just will never root for him again — that’s all I’m saying….and I’m not the only one saying that.
Do you think he deserves no punishment for this? His wife is humiliated. She can never appear with him in public again so where does that leave her? I honestly look forward to him losing some of his endorsements. Then he’ll know what hurt feels like.
I never used to watch golf. But then Tiger came along and my son and husband were huge fans. So I ended up getting interested. When he was out for a few months with his leg injury, I remember thinking how boring it was to watch these events without his being there. You can’t understand this because you’re a guy but I just can’t look at him the same way again. I have lost ALL respect for him. Do you get that?

yes I get that you have lost all respect for him. however, you mentioned earlier that you were playing the 100 rebuy. to some people in our society, playing poker or gambling of any sort is just as bad morally as cheating on your spouse. so I think it’s important that you look at all different angles of every situation possible and keep an open mind about everything. everyone is human, and anything can happen. there’s always gonna be haters. you’re hating on tiger for cheating on his wife, but somewhere out there someone has an equal right to hate on you for gambling. you should note that i gamble myself so i’m in no way using this against youo. i’m just using it as an example that people value things different on a moral scale and gambling isn’t very well thought of by many people in this very society we live in.

btw, I was randomly thinking about this argument today and thought about the pete rose debacable. pete rose was banned from baseball for gambling. whereas, there is basically no chance in hell tiger woods will ever be banned from golf for cheating on his wife. as you can see, some people have different standards for certain moral debates. what if a middle aged man with 5 kids decides to deposit his paycheck and play in that same 100rebuy? what if you win the 100rebuy? won’t you feel bad if he can no longer afford christmas presents for his own kids? sure, he shoulda knew better and been more responsible. but then at the same time, the 10 women tiger woods got with all knew he was married as well. why aren’t they just as guilty? they know what they’re getting into. they know their mutual actions will have a terrible negative impact on tiger’s wife if she finds out. maybe tiger woods is addicted to sex? just as that same middle aged man might be addicted to playing poker? for every action, there is an eqaul and opposite reaction of some sort. hopefully you understand the point i’m trying to demonstrate.

Some good points gambler2k4. Here in the UK there is always some sports star or celebrity who have been playing away and whilst I don’t condone it I couldn’t care less.

I particularly like the part you wrote about the women knowing Tiger was married, basically they whored themselves out for the TV and newspaper appearance fees and are worse than Tiger for doing so.
