Some good points gambler2k4. Here in the UK there is always some sports star or celebrity who have been playing away and whilst I don't condone it I couldn't care less.

I particularly like the part you wrote about the women knowing Tiger was married, basically they whored themselves out for the TV and newspaper appearance fees and are worse than Tiger for doing so.

btw, I was randomly thinking about this argument today and thought about the pete rose debacable. pete rose was banned from baseball for gambling. whereas, there is basically no chance in hell tiger woods will ever be banned from golf for cheating on his wife. as you can see, some people have different standards for certain moral debates. what if a middle aged man with 5 kids decides to deposit his paycheck and play in that same 100rebuy? what if you win the 100rebuy? won't you feel bad if he can no longer afford christmas presents for his own kids? sure, he shoulda knew better and been more responsible. but then at the same time, the 10 women tiger woods got with all knew he was married as well. why aren't they just as guilty? they know what they're getting into. they know their mutual actions will have a terrible negative impact on tiger's wife if she finds out. maybe tiger woods is addicted to sex? just as that same middle aged man might be addicted to playing poker? for every action, there is an eqaul and opposite reaction of some sort. hopefully you understand the point i'm trying to demonstrate.

yes I get that you have lost all respect for him. however, you mentioned earlier that you were playing the 100 rebuy. to some people in our society, playing poker or gambling of any sort is just as bad morally as cheating on your spouse. so I think it's important that you look at all different angles of every situation possible and keep an open mind about everything. everyone is human, and anything can happen. there's always gonna be haters. you're hating on tiger for cheating on his wife, but somewhere out there someone has an equal right to hate on you for gambling. you should note that i gamble myself so i'm in no way using this against youo. i'm just using it as an example that people value things different on a moral scale and gambling isn't very well thought of by many people in this very society we live in.

If you knew my children, you would know that this would never happen....never!!!
Now there are ten women who have come forward....all having had affairs with Tiger (many in his own home)....the home he shares with his wife and children. It's not up to me to forgive him....that's up to all those who are close to him. I just will never root for him again -- that's all I'm saying....and I'm not the only one saying that.
Do you think he deserves no punishment for this? His wife is humiliated. She can never appear with him in public again so where does that leave her? I honestly look forward to him losing some of his endorsements. Then he'll know what hurt feels like.
I never used to watch golf. But then Tiger came along and my son and husband were huge fans. So I ended up getting interested. When he was out for a few months with his leg injury, I remember thinking how boring it was to watch these events without his being there. You can't understand this because you're a guy but I just can't look at him the same way again. I have lost ALL respect for him. Do you get that?

Nancy,

These types of things can happen to anyone! What if you have children someday and they end up cheating on their spouse? Will you disown your child forever? Judging by your opinion on Tiger and Joe Schmoe, you would forever disown your own child and never support them again. I think there's too many people in our society that put themselves and their family members on some sort of moral pedestal and therefore think they have the right to talk smack about anyone who screws up and never forgive them. I think you should forgive Tiger and support him at the next golf tournament more than ever. He could really use our support at a time like now.
